PSY (Gangnam Style) to try RAP (video)

Boo, Tee, Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly; Idolator; LA Weeky; Rolling Stone; Yahoo!; MTV
PSY's "horse dance” comes from 1,000-year-old Buddhist ceremonial dance (Korean Bodega)
Jazz impressario Dave Brubeck joins the Choir Invisible leaving a noteworthy legacy for musicians pushing the envelope

Korean Buddhist and the top draw in the short history of YouTube, has his eye on rap. As he approaches a billion hits for "Gangnam Style," he fears becoming an irrelevant one-hit-wonder. Solution? Work with and to create the next great hit.
2 CHAINZ? Yes, Wisdom Quarterly's resident rapper is heading for the big time. In a week he is returning to Los Angeles to participate in the Power106 FM "Cali Christmas" with Big Sean, Rick Ross, and others. But what PSY has in store for him with choreography, lyrics, and a non-stop dance mix is likely to break all records and make GOODE Music's Kanye West wish he'd included the Atlanta rapper in his inner crew.

ROLLING STONE magazine has released the Top 50 Rap Songs of all time. Grandmaster Flash gets top honors; Will Smith left off list. (RS)

RAP GENIUS, a great idea with venture capital backing, is not a hit with the stylemakers in the rap community. The Wikipedia-for-rap lyrics gets hits. But its founders, principally Mahbod Moghadam, are not making any friends in the business (LAW).

KENDRICK LAMAR, meanwhile, took it to the streets as crowds flowed out of the Lakers' game in downtown h*ll. A double deck bus served as a stage before police swarmed in with helicopter support to disperse the crowd that had the audacity to dance in the streets. If rap won't contain itself, the growing police state will contain it.

(Yahoo!) The "Swimming Pools" rapper tweeted about a secret LA show (Crash Concert) across from the Staples Center where the Lakers had just played. The encroaching police state had other ideas.
"I wanted to do something special…that actually made a point, made a statement," he says during an exclusive Yahoo! interview. "Better to do it in our hometown, right after the Laker game." The massive crowd spilled onto the street. After performing "Swimming Pools," "The Recipe," and a bonus from his "Section 80" release, the police dispersed the crowd as a chopper hovered making the evening news.

RAP NOSTALGIA Country music took off when most Americans no longer lived on the farm (Prof. Fox, RadioLab.org). Why? It became glamorized, powered by nostalgia. How many of us still live in ghettos? Most of us live in cities but certainly not in the megalopolises that create most of the most popular rap music.

Dads can't rap for shizzle! But pops, they try.

Chris Brown was acting like a 17-year-old stoner who traveled to Amsterdam for the first time. Breezy posted a bunch of marijuana-centric photos from what was surely a fruitful trip to the Netherlands [Oh No They Didn't]. Ellie and Skrillex may have called it quits earlier this year, but the two are “still big fans of each other,” according to Ellie. In fact, she hopes the two can work together again, like they did on the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 song “Bittersweet” [MTV].

American war criminal, CIA Chief "fired" today

Pfc. Sandoval, Pat Macpherson, Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly (COMMENTARY)

Warlord, cheater, CIA Chief, disgraced 4-star US Army General Petraeus fired or told to "resign" before having to testify under oath about Benghazi response (bigstory.ap.org)

Medals for killing off the record (M-S)
Former head of the US War on Afghanistan in charge of surges (just as he had committed similar atrocities in our name in Iraq), Four Star General Petraeus (pronounced: "betray us") got caught up in an FBI investigation that revealed hundreds of inappropriate and improper messages between "Saint Petraeus" -- as he was known by many in the military, The Company (CIA), and West Point (his alma mater) where he was related by marriage to the man in charge there -- and his mistress. Every drone is a war crime.

The Other Woman, Broadwell (Telegraph)
But Gen. Petraeus did more than target "high value assets" for murder (internationally illegal political assassinations) via distant screens, he also saw to it that the military-industrial complex (MIC) got everything it paid and wished for from its preplanned invasion of Afghanistan. Cheating on his wife of 37 years was not enough to cause him to quit, a mere lapse in virtue for a man in the business of killing, invading sovereign territory, and engaging in Psychological Operations (propaganda's new name, known in Newspeak as PsyOps).

The CIA helped destroy Bamiyan statues (CNN)
He was given the opportunity to do the honorable thing of resigning under duress since he had compromised American security, a crime Pfc. Bradley Manning is being put through the wringer for doing in the capacity of a legally-protected whistleblower, duty-bound to report the crimes he did. Now the newly re-elected President Obama has the opportunity to thank the MIC that arranged for his second term by letting them decide who will now make a better hawk than the disgraced general. What will happen to him? He is likely to sink into obscurity as the President of Princeton University.

Buddhist connection
Mes Aynak Mine, former Buddhist complex (CNN)
Moreover, what will this mean to the priceless Buddhist treasures in Mes Aynak, Logar Province, Afghanistan? There is hope that a change in plans might allow them to survive. Yet it seems more likely that the replacement will attempt to prove himself valuable to the MIC via more surges. This will impoverish Afghanistan further, making them desperate for income from China, and scare China further, which will make it more determined to extract copper and the much more valuable rare earth minerals used in the production of electronics, like the slave-manufactured iPhones in the enormous Foxconn plantation.

WikiLeaks' Julian granted asylum in Ecuador

Pat Macpherson, Dhr. Seven, Pfc. Sandoval, Wisdom Quarterly (ANALYSIS)
(veteranstoday.com)

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who forestalled extradition to Sweden (then abduction to the US for torture and silencing) from the UK by asking for humanitarian asylum from Ecuador while residing safely in its London embassy, has been granted permission to remain in the embassy indefinitely.

The US/UK will not stand for it. Assange is wanted for questioning -- never having been charged -- by Sweden. But Sweden, in fact, does not want to question him about trumped up sexual offenses, for if it did it would come to England and conduct an interview. Instead, it is being pressured and guided by the US to get hold of the Australian citizen and then extradite him to America.

England is now contemplating the unthinkable: It is threatening to break into sovereign Ecuador's embassy, which like all embassies is regarded as Ecuadorian soil. Therefore, it claims to be planning an invasion.

Prosecuting Pfc. Bradley Manning contradicts every principle of whistle blower protection, freedom of the press, and free speech rights. If Manning is guilty then so are all people, papers, and other mainstream media outlets that have ever disseminated secret leaked information.

Violating Pakistan's sovereignty for PsyOps plan to pretend the real Osama was murdered

Similarly, if Assange is allowed to be silenced, disappeared, or indefinitely imprisoned in super-max facilities in the US, and entire organization is being silenced for whistle blowing. Manning, as a US soldier, had a personal legal responsibility to reveal American military crimes.

Assange as an Australian national was clearly within his rights to published leaked materials like an media outlet enabled by the worldwide Web. But because it revealed war crimes and plans of the only remaining superpower, it has not gone unpunished in contradiction to international law.
  • Will Americans stand silently by? Will we be complicit? (Germany was once a superpower, and precious few Germans spoke out when it counted. What will we do?)
The military says B.S. Obama did not kill Osama bin Laden; Americans did. I did not. Only those who applaud and approve of it did. SEAL Team 6 are not bragging about extrajudicially executing a man in long-dead Osama's place. Obama is bragging. Hillary Clinton is bragging. Joe Biden is bragging. Now the military is speaking out against its commander in chief even as he remains in office.
Dishonorable Disclosures

I didn't mean to brag about StuxNet and Iran?
Intelligence and Special Operations forces are furious and frustrated at how Pres. Obama and those in positions of authority have exploited their service for political advantage.

Countless leaks, disclosures, interviews, and decisions by the Obama Administration and other officials have undermined the success of the Military-Industrial Complex's Intelligence and Special Operations forces and put future missions and personnel at risk.

Dishonorable disclosures are so serious that for the first time former operators have agreed to risk their reputations and go on the record in this special documentary.

Its goal is to educate Americans about serious breaches of security by the Obama Administration (largely ignoring those of the previous administration and its Valerie Plame outing) and prevent them from ever happening again. (Use of military ranks, titles, and photographs in uniform does not imply endorsement of the Dept. of the Army or the Department of [War]. All individuals are no longer in active service with any federal agency or military service).

Another MC attacks Sikh temple in US

UPDATED 8/8; Pat Macpherson, Pfc. Sandoval, Dhr. Seven, Wisdom Quarterly (ANALYSIS)
Guru Nanak and nine other famous Sikh teachers. (Dev and ji are simply Indian honorifics).

OAK CREEK, Wisconsin - Well that didn't take long. Two weeks ago horrified Americans were shouting "Never again," and we were adding, "until the next time." Another Manchurian Candidate (MC) has been loosed upon civil society to create random mayhem and sow the seeds of fear.
Successful PsyOps candidate Page
Islamophobia figures into it, just as it did in Norway, because the first person shooter (whom police claim to have executed or "put down" when it seems, in fact, he followed his programming and committed suicide) was a white supremacist. He, Wade Michael Page, was also a military man with a checkered past that makes ordinary who would not be expected to have moved up the ranks if he were simply an enlisted man. And what did he do for the military-industrial complex (MIC)? PsyOps!

Now PsyOps (the propaganda arm of the MIC that runs black projects under the general heading of "psychological operations") must be getting pretty sloppy. Two weeks ago their MC was triggered to attack, that is, to methodically launch a finely tuned plan with no emotion, no thought, and very little if anything to remember.

Holmes medicated into silence
Once in custody the MC is chemically lobotomized to prevent any uncomfortable memories from creeping in and leaking to the public. It happened to wild-eyed Jared Loughner (who is "pleading guilty" while medicated out of his mind), the Gabby Gifford shooter, and James "the Joker" Holmes, the Aurora gunman.

Why do these things happen?
Why would anyone attack Sikhs (pronounced sEEks, not sICks), a small religion popular in India with many financially successful adherents, which seems to blend cultural elements of Hinduism and Sufism (mystic Islam). Kundalini Yoga as brought to America by the charismatic "Yogi Tea" magnate Yogi Bhajan is not "yoga" in the traditional Brahminical sense. Rather, it is a Sikh creation that has become very popular in the US thanks to female American converts like Gurmukh). Sikhism has, however, nothing to do with actual Islam. But appearances matter as much as assumptions: Turbans, uncut beards, white linen clothing -- it's all enough to earn them the pejorative "towel h*ads" and more disturbing militaristic ethnic slurs like Hajji, a term roughly equivalent to "gooks," employed by US soldiers committing war crimes during the US war on Vietnam. So was the hateful vocalist Page really out to avenge 9/11 or continue his military training as a civilian? Working in PsyOps it is more likely that he was hoisted by his own petard. He went from researcher to research subject without signing an informed consent release. The process of converting certain personality types, tested for by military psychiatrists, has been perfected since the idea of creating one or two man sleeper cells (along with their above top secret handlers) was born. The Russians apparently did it; the military-industrial complex does it. It is all part of "winning hearts and minds" (WHAM) by scaring up and inciting civilian support for US military atrocities. If draconian police state tactics are now suggested "for our security," who will oppose it? One must suppose that the NRA (National Rifle Association) will as well as both corporate wings of the Republican party (i.e., Obamas and Romneys). Gun control? Take guns out of the hands of scared citizens and put them in the hands of abusive police. This country does not grow richer every year manufacturing arms for the world by allowing greater regulations without a fight. In fact, any peace talk is actually thwarted rather than aided by US intervention, which coincidentally profits Democratic and Republican candidates' corporate supporters.

Gurmukh, owner of Golden Bridge Yoga in Hollywood, discusses friendship

Such events, then, pay off in many ways: the imposition of Orwellian regulations, loss of civil liberties, further encroachment of federal Big Brother style government into our lives, acceptance of endless war doctrine (fighting against tactics such as "terrorism" rather than finite countries), widespread panic, irrational fear-based behavior by citizenry (like increased gun sales to prevent more killings when guns can only attempt to do that by killing), xenophobia goes unremedied as "in" and "out" groups are further delineated, increased pharmaceutical sales (by citizens, shooters, police, military, and future candidates)... There is a great deal of money to be made because of fear, arms manufacturing being the most obvious. With that being the case, how can "peace" be tolerated?

The Real "Sick Sad World" (video)

Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly; (video)

"It astonishes me to find... [that so many] of our countrymen... should be contented to live under a system which leaves to their governors the power of taking from them the trial by jury in civil cases, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of commerce, the habeas corpus laws, and of yoking them with a standing army. This is a degeneracy in the principles of liberty... which I [would not have expected for at least] four centuries."
- Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, 1788

"I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves, and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education."
- Thomas Jefferson, letter to Wm. C. Jarvis, 1820

"There has never been a golden age of liberty, and there never will be. People who value freedom will always have to defend it from those who claim the right to wield power over others."
