Justin Bieber loses itchy beard; Tadolf Swiftler

Bela and Amber Dorrian, CC Liu, Wisdom Quarterly (Schadenfreude Series)
Don't cry; we're in public! - Was it that I vomited or threats from my fans? (PerezHilton)

Jubilation at the offices of WQ: He's on the market again! Now that that woman is finally out of the way.

Celebrities are disposable; gossip is priceless. The Biebs may have hit the jackpot at MTV, but Selena's been (7-year) itching to get out of their glamorous relationship, which we speculate was arranged by their agents as a PR stunt.

The Doll (thingsthatexist.com)
Of course, the break up may have something to do with BeelzeBeeber vomiting on stage recently. That does not go over too well with anxious ingenues trying to make names for themselves. But I remember when the lesser half of JuSe (juicy) was getting death threats from 'tweens all over the world for kissing the biggest hairdo since Elvis' pompadour and the Beatles' bowl cuts.

"This is another swipe against Canada," complains editor Amber Dorrian. But Perez Hilton seems gleeful, and did you hear the over schadenfreude over at TMZ Central?

"Hey don't laugh, T-Lot; he took me back."
Don't you worry, BeeBee, someone will come along before long. Oh, say what? Reports are coming in that Beeb's agent is really earning his take this week: his contractual agreement is already sporting an angelic armcharm all about town -- Victoria's Secret "angel" Cara Delevingne (who was just dating Harry Styles of One Direction), tweeted proof that "sweet" JB was out on a date with here.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and the rest of the film's cast answer questions at the world premiere. See it

Tadolf Swiftler loses Kennedy beau
Dhr. Seven, Wisdom Quarterly (COMMENTARY)
Parody of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”

Goddess or demi-goddess Tadolf? (gossipboy.ca)
If the devas (demigods, divas, deities) can't stay together, what hope is there for us mere mortals? The devas are the unbelievably beautiful hybrid space people. Aliens, far from being little green men, are Nordic blonds with dreamily-colored eyes, powerful Amazonians, and so on.

They create bloodlines that hold the world enthralled with their shenanigans: Note the behavior of the ancient Roman, Greek, and Indian pantheons as well as the Pharaoh and European royalty.

They suffer from more cupidity, lust, reckless abandon, jealousy, vengeance, spite, and pettiness than the humans who adore them. Plus they are long-lived, radiant, and (usually) graceful.

Nicki Roman Minaj wants all y'all @$%#hs to know!
In their day, they were the stars. Today they are bigger than ever thanks to the reverse-engineered means of mass media our scientists have developed before we were ready.

Look what TV did to the planet less than a century before and before that the phone. Now they are combined, and we can't get enough. Do not underestimate the power of the devas. It is not for naught that we remember them.

Remembering the Devas
Bronze devi statues on the Buddhist island of Lantau, China (Evs in nz/flickr.com)

The Buddha advised the deva-adoring Indian public of his day to -- rather than adoring, worshipping, and/or asking boons of the "shining ones" -- recollect the devas' virtues (deva-anussati). Consider the fact that by way of karma, one can be reborn a deva. That is not so difficult in the scheme of things. Keeping the precepts, five or eight, is enough. If one does nothing more, one need not even wish for this result. It may happen on its own. The correspondence is startling. Do the people of today not behave exactly as they did in days of olde? Fans and fanatics for pantheons -- Vedic, Roman, Greek, Egyptian, Sumerian, Gobekli Tepe, and extending back into our misty prehistory drawing on cave walls. Here is the recollection the Buddha taught (AN 11.13):

Upppalavanna Theri - the Buddhist Lakshmi
Recollect the devas: "There are the devas of the Four Great Space Kings, the devas of the space Realm of the Thirty-Three, the devas of the Hours, the Contented Devas, the devas who delight in creation, the devas who wield power over others' creations, the devas of Brahma's retinue, the devas beyond them.

"Whatever confidence (saddha, faith, conviction, belief) they were endowed with when they fell away from this life and re-arose there (in that deva realm), the same sort of confidence is present in me. [I have the power of conviction, too.]

Birth of the devi Venus
"Whatever virtue (sila, precepts, morality, ethics) they were endowed with..., the same sort of virtue is present in me. [I have the power of virtue, too.]

"Whatever learning (suta, study, knowledge, memorization) they were endowed with..., the same sort of learning is present in me.

"Whatever generosity [dana, liberality, giving, unselfishness] they were endowed with..., the same sort of generosity is present in me.

"Whatever wisdom (panya, insight, knowledge, discernment) they were endowed with..., the same sort of wisdom is present in me."

Demigods Justin and Selena (USmag)
"At any time when a disciple of the noble ones (arya, enlightened) is recollecting the confidence, virtue, learning, generosity, and wisdom found in oneself and the devas, that person's mind is at that time freed of passion, freed of aversion, freed of delusion.

"One's mind/heart advances straight based on the devas (their qualities). And when the heart/mind is advances straight, the disciple of the noble ones gains a sense of the goal, gains a sense of the Dharma, gains joy connected with the Dharma.

"In one who is joyful, rapture arises. In one who is rapturous, the body grows calm. One whose body is calmed senses pleasure (piti). In one sensing pleasure, the mind becomes concentrated, collected (samadhi).

"Mahanama, you should develop this recollection of the devas while walking, while standing, while sitting, while lying down, while busy at work, while resting at your home crowded with children."

Sex and Justin Bieber barfs on stage (video)

Amber Dorrian and my kid sister Bela, Wisdom Quarterly UPDATED

Empty man (cloudkooky)
OMG, would-be Black Canadian dancing sensation, The Beebs (Mr. Justin Bieber, 18) regurgitated a white phlegm-like substance in the middle of a live performance in Arizona this week, and the whole world saw it!

Hope his "beard" Selena Gomez missed it. I wish I had. Back in my day I was crazy about another Justin. But Mr. Timberlake, proud fiancee of beauty Jessica Biel, would rather upchuck, swallow it, and die rather than toss it. That's what a real popstar would do.

My baby sister is crushed -- not that The Beebs humiliated himself and hurt his uber "clean" image, but crushed by the thought, "What if he's sick?" What if? His PR firm sprung into action claiming it was his sadness over the death of his fan Avalanna. The kids of today! Great choreography, Beebs.

What happened? Asian correspondent goes behind the scenes to find out

Who are these stars?

Devas are real fairies (truthseeerforum.com)
A strange thing is happening, and no one seems to have noticed: The Beebs, Tadolf Swiftler, Eminem, Avril Lavigne, Catty Purry, Nicki "Roman" Minaj, Lady Gag, Ke$ha, Mariah Carey, Brit-BritChristi Eagler, Paris Hilton, Justin 1, Beyonce, Rihanna... (hybrid "Nordic" aliens actually come in all shades) all look like flawless porcelain figurines, like Greco-Roman gods and goddesses (devas and devis), like human-alien hybrids distracting us with viral 100-million-view YouTube hits. MIC conspiracy?

Judgey distractors Mariah and Minaj (MTV)
Better Hollywood/Tel Aviv agents, PR techniques, Auto-Tune? They behave just like the ancient godlings of Greek, Roman, Indian, and Sumerian lore -- petty, sex-crazed, foolish distractors cum distractions full of pride and conceit, narcissism and hubris -- serving as models for humans. These hybrid celestial-terrestrial "gods," "fairies," "angels" are real (as are shapeshifters). What else could account for the sudden fame and popularity, and accompanying TMZ insanity, of such vapid figures? On a deeper level it all seems to come back to craving.

I Hate Tadolf Swiftler (video)

Amber Dorrian, I. Rony,  and Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly
Mr. Hitler enjoying nice dinner party conversation (Hugo Jaeger/TIME/Getty Images)

Acting chops on Saturday Night Live
Tadolf isn't so bad. But Swiftler I cannot abide, as Jiminy Glick might put it, and I think he would agree, what with her smug poses, pretentious relationships, and overblown shows.

How long will the world stand idly by as she promotes her Naziesque patterns of behavior inducing teens to pout and break up with their boyfriends just to sing along with her ditties?

There's nothing like a really big show.
Speaking of ditties, Have you seen her ditties? She has none. She's a flat one-note ham who, apparently, is never-never-ever getting back together with 18-year-old Taylor Lautner or that poor Kennedy boy who hasn't yet read the writing on the wall to know what's coming. (Start milking your 15 minutes the way she is, Conor).

Tadolf Swiftler (morphthing.com)
Hooray, she dates young. Maybe she's a vampire on a quest to do some K-Stew damage, maybe she's an attention-[hooker], maybe she's just pandering to her teeny-bopping target audience?

Meanwhile, in other Hitler-related news, Mr. Shah of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, has offended sensibilities and created a lot of free buzz for his fashion boutique. He named his shop "Hitler" dotting his i with a strategic swastika (normally a beloved Indian religious symbol seen on many entrances, but in this case he used the corporate Nazi symbol).  It worked.

Shah claims "Hitler" refers to his strict uncle.
A vocal minority was offended, and Shah is willing to accept a trivial 150,000 rupees ($2,700) to withdraw the name and related launch materials. But he'll be keeping all the free publicity created in the process.

This is clearly a case of highway robbery; I had the same idea for Bridezilla's shop in Manhattan called Eve Brown's, a tribute to the unmarried Eva Braun, with a tailor adjoining tailor shop for grooms called... you guessed it. Now Shah's taken the wind out of my flowing gowns.

Exhibit A at the "Anti-I-Heart-T.S." trial to come

But I'm America's sweetheart!
Real fascists (literally, those who marry corporate and governmental power) hold conventions, offer cake and parades, and no one says a word about what is happening. Who questions the Tweedle Dee/Tweedle Dum system forced on us? Did no one notice what happened to Republican candidate and former third-party advocate Ron Paul? He was drummed right out and denied a voice at the GOP ("Grand Old Party") convention.

In our Reds vs. Blues -- Bloods vs. Crips -- world, Pres. Obama is no better. He is in some ways worse for being a wolf in sheep's clothing pushing through the most draconian Bush era policies a Pres. Dick Cheney could never have gotten passed without soldiers on the streets. It's no wonder Democrats get blamed. What's the only "legitimate" alternative proposed for voters?

Republican racism and sexism? We do not even get the token gesture of marking "None of the Above" on our ballots or the ability to leave our chads hanging. It's a false dichotomy because BOTH parties are flipsides of the SAME coin, the moderate and extreme wings of the Republican party. Go Green. Go Libertarian. Go Anarchist. Anything would be better than following the next Hitler the Diebold/Sequoia/ES+S corporations are told to "elect".

Song of a Former Courtesan

Vimala Theri ("Psalms of the Elder Nuns," Therigatha 9); Mariska Galla; Wisdom Quarterly
Katy Perry (Catty Purry) utilizes courtesan moves for more sales as a singer (popstarplus)

Classic Russian posters (nuffy.net)
It is inspiring to remember that from a Buddhist point of view, "Every saint has a past, every sinner a future."

Vimala Theri (Thig 5.2), a Buddhist nun at the time of the Buddha, awakened and, attaining full enlightenment, recorded her experience in a hymn. The Therigatha, a collection of such hymns (gatha), reveals her story:

Young and overbearing --
drunk with fame, beauty,
with my figure, its flawless appearance --
I despised other women.

Heavily made up, I leaned
against the brothel door
and flashed my wares. Like a hunter,
I laid my snares to surprise fools.

I even taught them a trick or two
as I slipped my clothes off
and bared my secret places.
O how I despised them!

Today, head shaved, wrapped
in a single robe, an almswoman,
I move about, or sit at the foot
of a tree, empty of all thoughts.

All ties to heaven and earth
I have cut loose forever.
Uprooting every obsession,
I have put out the fires.

The Buddha and his foster mother established the first nuns order in a world religion.

Hymns of Enlightenment
Wisdom Quarterly based on Parthasarathy (weberstudies.weber.edu)
Buddhism and Its Therigatha (Parallax.org)
These songs or spiritual hymns -- paralleling a similar compilation composed by enlightened elder monks from the time of the Buddha -- were chanted. Each stanza (sloka) is comprised of four verses (padas, as in the most famous Buddhist text, the Dhammapada, or "Verses of the Dharma") of eight syllables each.

The first two verses, divided by a caesura, form one line; the next two verses, again divided by a caesura, form the second line. Unlike the secular poets of Tamil and Sanskrit, the Pali Buddhist poets attempted to raise the language of their spiritual songs above that of the profane model.

They deliberately shifted the emphasis of their songs away from the love poetry of the secular poets to the attainment of liberation (moksha), the true joy which, according to early Buddhist teachings, was assumed to be limited to monastics meditating alone.
  • Of course, the earliest Buddhist discourses contain countless examples of male and female householders and ordinary worldlings reaching enlightenment when instructed in the Teachings of the Noble Ones (Arya Dhamma). The Buddha, as the "Master Physician" and "Teacher of Devas and Humans," had the power as a teacher to perceive just what an auditor needed to rapidly advance toward the goal of awakening (bodhi) and liberation (nirvana).
First Buddhist Women, Susan Murcott (W-B)
The first of the Four Noble Truths is dukkha (unsatisfactoriness, disappointment, distress). Its proximal cause is craving (tanha), particularly sensual desire. And its distal cause is ignorance or delusion.

One useful description of nirvana is the dying out of the fires of lust (kama tanha, sensual craving), greed (lobha), hatred (dosa), and illusion (moha).

Sex and the Single Girl (video)

Claudia Luther (LATimes.com); NPR (SCPR.org); Wisdom Quarterly
What could sell 2.5 million magazines a month mainly off stands? (elephantjournal.com)

Helen Gurley Brown, longtime Cosmopolitan editor, dies at 90
OBITUARY: Gurley Brown's bestselling 1962 book, Sex and the Single Girl, broke ground by discussing the sex life of single women and casting them as "the newest glamour girl of our times."

Sex and the Single Girl dared to tell American women that they inherited their "proclivity" for sex, that it "isn't some random piece of mischief you dreamed up because you're a bad, wicked girl."

The book led to her longtime role at Cosmopolitan magazine.

Where would singles like DJ Nicole Alvarez be?
When her frank and exuberant mix of advice, exhortation and naughty girl talk became a publishing phenomenon, thousands of women wrote to seek her advice, and she would sit at home at night in Los Angeles, trying to answer them all.

One night, her husband, the movie producer David Brown, had an idea while he watched her type. "You know," he said, "if you had your own magazine, you could answer everybody at one time."

And, eventually, she did, taking over a money-losing literary publication called Cosmopolitan and turning it into a slyly risque bible for single women. ...

"Why do women read this sh*t?" asks The Elephant Journal. Stephen Colbert offers an explanation based on the strange workings of self-esteem.

Helen Gurley Brown | 1922-2012
Sex sells, and we have to sell mags!
Brown remained at the helm of Cosmopolitan for 32 years and would not have left in 1997 had she not been forced out.

By then, Cosmo was selling 2.5 million copies a month -- much of it at the newsstand -- and collecting about $160 million a year in revenues. After leaving the editor's post, Brown oversaw the international editions of Cosmopolitan for many years.

Helen Gurley Brown was born Feb. 18, 1922, the daughter of schoolteachers in Green Forest, Arkansas... and moved with her mother and her sister, Mary, to Los Angeles. ...

But Brown always had ambition.
Helen Gurley Brown
Helen Gurley and David Brown
"I never liked the looks of the life that was programmed for me -- ordinary, hillbilly and poor," Brown wrote of her early life. She described herself as a teenager this way: "Flat-chested, pale, acne-skinned, terrified."

She was determined not to stay a "mouseburger," what she called women who are "not prepossessing, not pretty, don't have a particularly high IQ, a decent education, good family background, or other noticeable assets."

Brown attended what is now Texas Woman's University and Woodbury, a business college then located in Los Angeles. Next came a series of 17 secretarial jobs. More

Longtime Cosmo magazine editor dies
Jocelyn Noveck (AP/SCPR.org)
Helen Gurley Brown, the longtime editor of Cosmopolitan magazine who invited millions of women to join the sexual revolution, has died. She was 90.

Brown died Monday at a hospital in New York after a brief hospitalization, Hearst CEO Frank A. Bennack, Jr. said in a statement.

Sex and the Single Girl, her grab-bag book of advice, opinion, and anecdote on why being single shouldn't mean being sexless, made a celebrity of the 40-year-old advertising copywriter in 1962.

Three years later, she was hired by Hearst Magazines to turn around the languishing Cosmopolitan and it became her bully pulpit for the next 32 years.

She said at the outset that her aim was to tell a reader "how to get everything out of life -- the money, recognition, success, men, prestige, authority, dignity -- whatever she is looking at through the glass her nose is pressed against." More

Human Barbie voted world's most beautiful

Wisdom Quarterly
India's Kaif in pink at the launch of the Barbie doll she inspired (brit-asian.com)

FHM has voted Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, 27, the world's most beautiful woman, an honor that follows her very own sari-clad Barbie doll debut at the 50th anniversary of the iconic doll in 2009. She has been a reader favorite four four years running as the "sexiest woman alive." According to India Journal Kaif defines "sexy" as not being about her clothes. "The sexiest thing is not trying. For me to wear a cotton sari, be without makeup, and still be desirable is sexy." What skillful karma could have led to her beauty, fame, success, and influence? The Buddha on Beauty

The Buddha on Beauty: Miss America rigged!

Olivia Culpo, the new Miss America, can't believe all her prayers finally came true!

Miss Pennsylvania USA claims pageant rigged
Praying to Saint Barbie
PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Miss USA pageant representative from Pennsylvania resigned her crown claiming the contest is rigged...

A posting on Miss Pennsylvania Sheena Monnin's Facebook page claims another contestant learned the names of the top 5 finishers on Sunday morning -- hours before the show was broadcast.

Monnin claims the other contestant told her the names of the Top 5 she spotted on a planning sheet for the telecast -- and she decided to step down as soon as those same contestants were named during the show.

"In my heart I believe in honesty, fair play, a fair opportunity, and high moral integrity, none of which in my opinion are part of this pageant system any longer," Monnin wrote in one of her Facebook posts.

Monnin, of Cranberry, Butler County, did not immediately respond to a Facebook message from The Associated Press. Donald Trump, who runs the Miss Universe Organization, called Monnin's claims that the pageant was fixed... More
The Buddha on Beauty
Dhr. Seven and Amber Dorrian, Wisdom Quarterly translation
"Five things are desirable, agreeable, pleasant, yet hard to obtain in the world. What are the five?

1. Long life... 2. beauty... 3. pleasure... 4. status... 5. rebirth in heaven...
However, I tell you, these five things are not to be obtained by prayer or vows [petitioning or bargaining]. If they were to be obtained in this way, who would not have them?

It is not fitting for a follower of the Noble Ones [and their enlightening teaching] who desires beauty to plead or bargain for it, or to delight in doing so.

Instead, a disciple of the Noble Ones who desires beauty should follow a path of practice leading to beauty. In so doing, one will attain it, be it human [now or in the future when one is again born as a human] or divine [in worlds to come]...

(The same may be said of long life, pleasure, status, and rebirth in heavens)..." (AN 5.43).

The Cause of Beauty
Wisdom Quarterly translation based on Rhys Davids'
The Greek King Menander asked the Buddhist monk Nagasena, "Revered Nagasena, why is it that all people are not alike? Some are short-lived, some long-lived, some sickly some healthy, some ugly some beautiful, some without influence some of great power, some poor some wealthy, some low born some high born, some foolish some wise?"

Nagasena replied: "Why is it that all vegetables are not alike? Some are sour, some salty, some pungent, some acidic, some astringent, and some sweet?"

"Venerable sir, I fancy that it is because they come from different kinds of seeds."

"Just so, Great King, are the differences you have mentioned among humans to be explained. For it has been said by the Buddha: 'Beings, O brahmin, each have their own karma [deeds], are inheritors of karma, belong to the tribe of their karma, are relatives of karma, have karma as their protecting overlord. It is karma that divides them up into low and high and such divisions."
  • (From Rhys Davids, Milindapanha, "Questions of King Menander," 1:100).
The secret, then, is that karma separates the beautiful from the ugly. What karma? Patience and kindness having been willed, carried out, and accumulated, frequently practiced, made a habit are causes of beauty when any of these acts come to fruition. Anger, ill will, hate, resentment, and harshness are causes of ugliness when these mental actions finally come to fruition. The Buddha explains in detail:

But WHY?
Perplexed by the apparent and seemingly inexplicable disparity that exists among humans,  the young truth seeker Subha ("Beauty") approached the Buddha and questioned him regarding it.

"Venerable sir, what is the reason, what is the cause that we find among humans the short-lived and the long-lived, the diseased and the healthy, the ugly (dubbannā) and the beautiful (vannavantā), the powerless and the powerful, the poor and the rich, the low-born and the high-born, the ignorant and the wise?"

The Buddha explained: "All living beings have actions (karma) as their own, their inheritance, their congenital cause, their kinsman, their resort. It is karma that differentiates beings into low and high states.[Note]"

Then he explained the causes of such differences in accordance with the law of causes, conditions, and their many results:

"...If one is wrathful and turbulent, is irritated by a trivial word, gives vent to anger, ill-will and resentment, that person, as a result of irritability, when born among humans, will become ugly." (This is because this seed comes to fruition at the time of rebirth conditioning what is expressed in terms of one's vast store of karma).

"If one is not wrathful nor turbulent, is not irritated even by a torrent of abuse, does not give vent to anger, ill-will, and resentment, that person, as a result of amiability, when born among humans, will become beautiful." Similarly a reason is given for each kind of karma, conduct, behavior, states (volitions), and traits (habits) that have the power to ripen in the future. More

Neo Nazi won't be beautiful

Instead of reading the aryan ("noble") works of Greek King Menander (called the Milindapanha) a series of questions and answers from one of the Buddhists who flourished in ancient Greece (Indo-Greco empires like Bactria), this Greek Neo Nazi failed to check his anger.

He let it grow until, like fire, it spread all out of control. And he revealed his true colors in this lifetime -- anger, a propensity for violence, animosity, and abusiveness. He had trained in the military and Greek special forces as many Neo Nazis dream of doing.

Losing control, he beat a female political opponent on live TV. First he threw a drink in the face of another female opponent. He is being sought by police to account for his outlandish behavior that has upset national sensibilities and standards of conduct for men particularly politicians appearing in public.

() Greece's pre-electoral climate has become more explosive after a high profile neo-Nazi MP assaulted two female politicians from leftwing parties on live TV.

The beating, a first in the nearly 40 years since democracy was returned to its birthplace [although it existed in the Indian Buddhist Sangha before arriving in ancient Greece], broke out during a morning talk show when Ilias Kasidiaris, the spokesman of the far right Chrysi Avgi ("Golden Dawn") took umbrage at deputy Rena Dourou declaring that his party "will take the country back 500 years."

After leaping from his seat and throwing a glass of water at Dourou, a deputy with the radical Syriza party, Kasidiaris then turned on Liana Kanelli, an MP with the KKE Communist party, who, waving a piece of paper, stood up to condemn the action.

As the cameras rolled, the cropped-haired Kasidiaris, a weightlifting enthusiast who had served in Greece's special forces, is shown beating Kanelli, slapping her around the face... More

Nat'l Beauty and Spelling contests (video)

Sluts and Feminists, Wisdom Quarterly; Ben Stiller (Abominable Pictures); CSMonitor.com
WARNING: Not suitable for children, disgruntled spinsters, or puppy love afflicted adults!

Premiering June 4th on the distracting and failing mainstream media outlet Yahoo Inc., Burning Love (facebook) lampoons "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." It's no "Zoolander."

But at least it offers something satirical to challenge the implicit messages of shows like XBC's "Handsome Prince Moneybags and the Wh*res" and OBS's "Bleach Blondie and the White Knight Stallions" and most MTV shows.

It is to boobtube programming what Comedy Central roasts are to inflated egos. It helps us see the foolishness of our conditioning. It helps us become conscious of the unconscious silliness of ideals that rule our lives, usurp our dreams, and lead us to dejection. After all, what unseen motives are impelling us on the great hamster wheel we are assured is an unavoidable rat race?

Speaking of hamster wheels and rat races, Las Vegas, the land of deserted dreams, finally gave us our new queen, Miss. America! We also crowned our best spelling child prodigy this weekend. (Is it just a coincidence that it was another white Hispanic and Indian American? Probably). It seems like only 12 months since the last ones. One has to wonder if the Maoist Buddhists of Nepal would tolerate this. Probably considering their new sex symbol. Beauty is very alluring and therefore possesses a great deal of power.

Snigdha Nandipati, 14, tackles the final word of the Scripps Spelling Bee (csmonitor.com).

I'm really hot, from Rhode Island, and play the cello. Olivia Culpo is Miss America.
