Pick a candidate, any candidate. You get a choice between the two sides of the same one. There is no third option, unless you're trying to make a statement. And WQ is.

  

So next time we get our turn again, right?

Who do strippers want if they are let out of the club to vote (which is their legal right with two hours of pay)? They are overwhelmingly for B.S. Obama. But throughout the Bible Belt, strippers working among older white businessmen say they are for Bishop Romney.

MIC told me in advance, but I didn't believe it.

How the the ballot measures breakdown? "What's that?" strippers ask. Would you like to know what's in food you buy? Yes. Then vote yes on 37 in California. Or, you know, read that newspaper thingy they said. It explains things in needlessly misleading language.

"Why would it be misleading?" Because democracy is the worst form of government... except for all the others. We should really give it a try someday. There's no time for this (s)election, but maybe next time.

RESULTS
What do the strippers predict? Obama may not win, but he will be the president (of the corporation) for another four years. Even if the Electoral College or Supreme Court has to hand him the crown Bush-style, he will be king. Strippers have spoken. Bishop Rmoney never really had a chance, even with rampant voter suppression. (This is carried out in various ways but it is most egregious with racial minorities being given "provisional" ballots that count for next to nothing). This is why no authentic Republican was allowed to run. Monsanto, Inc. is likely to prevail in its deception on labeling its genetically modified foodstuffs as per MIC agreement. Libertarian Gary Johnson will ride marijuana to the top in Colorado. California will see through sex trafficking ballot measure that tried to overreach for the police state.

The punk collective of female freedom-fighters, "Pussy Riot," went too far insulting Russian dictator Putin, performing in a Russian Orthodox church to shine light on the lack of separation of church and state.

  

They performed their anti-Putin song in Moscow’s Christ the Savior Cathedral and got arrested, not for playing so much as for posting an inflammatory video about playing. Two of the members remain in jail.

  

TheWorld.org wants to share the MUSIC of the band over the din of the movement the collective inspires around the world. Their first notable tune was “Loosen up the Paving Stones” about the Arab Spring: “Egyptian air is good for the lungs,” they sing. Like the Occupy Movement they are calling for a “Tahrir Square on Red Square.” LISTEN

(SCPR) Pussy Riot, an all-female Russian feminist punk band, is “the latest symbol of young Russian discontent.” Anti-Putin youth of Russia now consider themselves on trial. Pussy Riot functions as a collective, with a rotating cast of characters who wear brightly colored balaclavas to conceal their specific identities.
   
No longer anonymous, three members of the band were sentenced to two additional years in prison Moscow on charges of “hooliganism motivated by religious hatred.”

Their conviction was a foregone conclusion. But Putin hinted that the judge should deliver a lenient sentence, such as time served. Instead, the judge made an example of them by attaching two more years for their involvement in making a statement against the government. More

Rule 40 violation could mean loss of medals

LA Pot Shop Ban Coming Soon

Before the Los Angeles City Council's unanimous vote last month in favor of the ordinance to BAN all medical marijuana dispensaries, Police Chief Charlie Beck assured council members that shutting down the nearly 1,000 pot shops in the city would be a smooth operation. Beck told the Council that it was his belief that "the vast majority of these establishments will willingly comply." Compliance seemed a long way off Friday. The Patient Care Alliance, which represents 300 pot shops, is suing the city to stop the ban that's due to take effect on September 6, 2012. More

DISNEYLAND LAND, California ­­- The happiest place on Earth is within the city limits of a police state, the City of Anaheim. Disneyland itself, as a wealthy and influential private corporation, has always been run by its own authoritarian rules. It's a small and Orwellian world after all, and business is business. But that fantasy used to end at the gate.
   
Now it extends onto the streets. The Tragic Kingdom is located in a city divided between One Percenters catering to a vacationers from all over the world in pricey hotel chains and everyone else (the 99%). Many of the hotel workers are holed up in substandard but overpriced dwellings. Underpaid and overworked, the common person ekes out a living to serve the corporations. And the police keep them in line. Welcome to Orange County.

In a rising trend all across America, police state tactics are becoming the norm: stop and frisk, "shoot-to-kill first, ask questions later," SWAT teams, mass arrests, crowd control tactics that treat every gathering as a "riot," secret police, the mass incarceration of Hispanic and African-American citizens by design...

Anaheim unleashes "riot" tactics (LA Times)

Now news outlets repeat the Newspeak: "officer-involved shootings" (police murdering innocent "suspects"). "There will be an internal investigation" (some police will look into what other police, often their friends, have done and say they find it within department policy, necessitating a federal investigation and civil lawsuits).
  
This time it's personal. Family members are outraged and are demonstrating in front of the police. You murdered our sons in cold blood with the flimsiest of excuse:

• "He was running away, so I had to shoot him in the head!"
• "He was guilty of being dark skinned, so I felt threatened."
• "I thought I recognized him as a bad guy, naturally I had to kill him."
• "We didn't get our sensitivity training, so you know this is like 'standard operating procedure' among the guys in the locker room down at the station."

Welcome to Anaheim; now get on your knees!

Do Anaheim residents have a right to complain about gross police misconduct? If they don't like how the police treat them, why don't they move to nearby Fullerton (where a police gang beat a homeless man to death  for the fun of beating a helpless victim they didn't think anyone would care or complain about)?
  
Or why not head west to Los Angeles County where an understaffed LAPD -- with only 10,000 officers -- shows the rest of the nation how aggressive policing is done with impunity?
  
Police executed a man for having the audacity to run away from undercover thug with badges. It wasn't enough to shoot him in the buttocks, for the crime of running away, they took it to a whole new level by shooting him through the head after he was subdued. Why? Why not? Shooting is fun. Extrajudicial executions are fun, and you get a paid vacation while an "investigation" (wink-wink) is being conducted.

The community rose up, and police reacted like a totalitarian force in defense of their comrade's gross misconduct. That wasn't enough. Shooting less-than-lethal munitions at families, siccing a marauding K-9 officer on innocent bystanders (he got away by "accident," they explain), declaring an unlawful assembly (as the video above shows) and repeatedly firing into the crowd -- but it's okay because they're Hispanic.
  
Then the next night the same department executed another suspect, no questions asked. These are fatal, officer-initiated shootings. This one was different because it had the excuse that the suspect shot first ensuring his demise. Did he shoot first? Who knows. An officer only needs to claim that that's what happened and no one will disagree. In fact, they'll come to his defense in every way they can. Mickey Mouse would be proud.

Sunday's shooting came the same weekend that Manuel Angel Diaz, 25, was shot to death by an officer in an East Anaheim neighborhood.
  
Authorities said Diaz was shot in the 700 block of North Anna Drive after running from police, but they did not reveal what led to the shooting. The incident prompted protests from residents, who [allegedly] threw [empty water] bottles and [pebbles in the general direction of] police [necessitating a draconian reaction of gunfire, riot tactics, arrests, and an all out show of force with a helicopter and additional deputized Sheriff back up]. A makeshift memorial marks the site where Diaz was shot, with dozens of candles, flowers, and signs -- most of which are critical of police. One read: "There's blood on their badges." Said another: "Stop killing, start protecting." More

Armed troops patrolled Burma's northwest city of Sittwe on Friday [June 15, 2012] as a fragile peace held in the wake of days of sectarian violence that has stoked nationalist fervor and displaced 30,000 people, with many feared dead.

   

Heavy rain kept many residents indoors in the Rakhine state capital as police and aid groups struggled to get food to thousands of ethnic Rakhine Buddhists and Muslim Rohingyas [next to formerly Buddhist now Islamic Bangladesh] displaced by rioting and arson that have presented a big test to Burma's post-military-dictatorship and new 15-month-old quasi-civilian government.

United Nations officials told Reuters three of their staff, two from the UNHCR refugee agency and one from the World Food Programme (WFP), all Burmese nationals, had been detained by police in the Rohingya-dominated town of Buthidaung for unknown reasons.

   

The WFP had provided hundreds of sacks of rice to some areas, said Aye Win, spokesman for its operations in Burma.

  

Dealing with anyone in the way of oil pipelines

"We will try to get to other camps as soon as we can, when it is safe and secure. We are doing as much as we can. We will go in but security is paramount," he added.

  

More than 20 houses were burned down late on Thursday in a village near Sittwe, residents said, adding to the 2,500 torched in the past week. But there were no reports of further deaths. More

Daw Suu Kyi, the new face of Burma with same dictators

It is common to stoke up ethnic strife to cover up worse crimes. What could be worse than pitting Buddhists and Muslims against one another? Dictator Than Shwe's dreams of an oil pipeline around Bangladesh and into India (then secretly China). Who is in the way? Ethnic minorities displaced by the project. Burma is a police state and has been since at least 1948 (which inspired Burmese-British writer George Orwell to title his most important work 1984).

As such its ruling junta has remained in power -- changing the country's name, enslaving millions, relocating the capital, imprisoning its duly elected democratic leader (Daw Aung San Suu Kyi), and killing complainers at will -- even if they are Buddhist monastics engaged in peaceful demonstrations known as the Saffron Revolution. Actress Ellen Page referred to the little known  as less recognized Than Shwe as "Hitler." In response to world pressure, Burma has done what America has always done: put on a show of democracy while engaging in the same oligarchical/police state practices it was founded to oppose.
  

Released from custody, Suu Kyi holds little power

The US remains a colonial power of the military-industrial complex bankrolled by old European banking interests. Burma now hides behind the veneer of an elected president and even a minor minister (Daw Aung Suu Kyi).
   
Where have all the dictators gone? They are at home at ease in futuristic mansions of a made up city called Naypyidaw. Corporations 1, People 0.
  
If ethnic tribes want to stand in the way of Shwe Gas, there is going to be hell to pay. And where is America (aka "the police of the world") in all this? They are first in line to wheel and deal, as recent visits by Hillary Clinton demonstrated. We were not about to sit back and let China and India divide the spoils. Clinton only asked one thing: Pretend to respect human rights. (We'll show you how).

So Daw Suu Kyi was given a nominal seat in government and has gone out into the world portraying the country as "reforming." It is far from reformed or reforming. It is merely becoming entrenched in a more sustainable deception. False appearances are much easier to maintain than shows of brute force, and it is especially nice when a government can do both and simply hide behind its reforms. We're not like the old Burma; we're the new progressive people's choice as shown by paid selections being called "free elections."

SHWE GAS: Corporations and governments are commonly very secretive to the public regarding routes for construction and there has as yet been no mentioning of an Environmental and Cultural Impact Assessment along any of these routes.
