First Buddhists elected to Congress

There were a lot of firsts in faith during the 2012 election season according to The Washington Post and some firsts in Congress. Among them are the election of a Buddhist to the Senate and a Hindu to the House, which will help make those chambers more accurately reflect the increasingly diverse religious landscape of the United States.

Tulsi Gabbard (chakranews.com)
Democrat Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii was elected, succeeding Representative Mazie K. Hirono, who ran for the US Senate. An Iraq War veteran, Gabbard was born in American Samoa to a Hindu mother and a Catholic father and had served on the Honolulu City Council and in the state Legislature. Whereas California used to lead the way with firsts, now [the MIC is using] Hawaii has taken that distinction farther west.

I don't know how we lost in an Ayn Rand world.
Hirono, who is Japanese and Buddhist, was also elected on Tuesday. In 2006, she and Georgia Democrat Hank Johnson, who is African-American, were the first Buddhists elected to Congress.

In 2010, Buddhist Colleen Hanabusa, a Democrat from Hawaii, was elected. She will become the first Buddhist senator when the new Congress convenes in January, Religion News Service reported yesterday.
On the Darker Side
On the tragic side, Monsanto Corporation won its preposterous bid (Proposition 37) to continue keeping secret when its genetically-manipulated human-experiment grains and organisms are sold as food to the general population of California (and the rest of the world. Food insecure Russians no longer accept their corn, prompting the European Union to take another look at their policy).

Christian fundamentalist candidate Bachmann
And an anti-sex trafficking bill (Proposition 35) on steroids passed, perverting one of the most important causes of all to further the police state. And former Republican presidential candidate hopeful Michelle "Crazy Eyes" Bachmann and Romney running mate Paul Ryan (shown above) were re-elected, even as they failed in their other bids.

Russia rejects genetically modified US corn

Cancer risk? Two genetically engineered Monsanto corncobs, right, and two normal ones from Germany, left. Biotech companies have "proved" the safety of GM crops by conducting only 90-day trials on rats.

Russia has suspended the import and use of American GM corn following a study suggesting a link to breast cancer and organ damage.

Separately, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has ordered its own review into the research, which was conducted at a French university.

The decision by Russia could be followed by other nations that would deliver a severe blow to the take-up of the controversial genetic technology.

Experts at the University of Caen conducted an experiment running for the full lives of rats -- two years.

The findings, which were peer reviewed by independent experts before being published in a respected scientific journal, found raised levels of breast cancer, liver, and kidney damage. More

UPSHOT
Wisdom Quarterly (COMMENTARY)
Avoid US corn and corn products (corn syrup, maltodextrin, chips, corn-fed beef, grain fed chicken, pig, and the countless other products that conceal cheap corn ingredients). Otherwise expect organ damage, cancers, obesity, persistent hunger, depression, mood fluctuations, migraines, fibromyalgia, and/or diabetes as the likely result of consumption. Even the best, most natural organic corn was considered a starvation crop, a starchy grass. It has been made into a dangerous frankenfood and gasoline substitute that, because it is so extremely cheap, is used in nearly all prepared/packaged foods.

"Angel Wars" (audio interview)

Space visitors (akasha devas) influencing Earth
() Guest host John B. Wells muddles through a classic Stephen Quayle interview (7-7-11). Quayle is an unapologetic Christian filtering his understanding through the teachings of St. Issa and ancient Jewish lore. Even if the filter and assumptions around it are wrong, there is much to be said for his core message.

A year ago Coast to Coast welcomed author and researcher Steve Quayle, author of Angel Wars, who discussed the secret forces aligned with some humans against humanity since ancient times and how genetics, nanotechnology, and robotics are permanently changing the world.

"In every single country of the world," Quayle explains, "there are legends which tell of entities who come to Earth not only bestowing their secrets upon humans but also going to war with mankind."

Quayle states emphatically that this topic is "too formidable a subject to ignore in any way, shape, or form."

He traces the root of this ongoing battle to be a "supernatural, evil hierarchy" using misguided humans to corrupt the tribal Judeo-Christian God's work on Earth. These human agents of Satan [the Christian super-Mara, an embodiment of all evil] believe they will be given greater power by yielding their freewill to malevolent forces.

However, Quayle warns, "that power they yield to will ultimately consume and destroy them." He points to transhumanism as one key aspect of this agenda: "The goal is not to help humanity be all we can be," he laments. Instead, Quayle contends that the aim is to create a race of quasi-gods who will supplant the human race as we know it.

"If anything, the old-style human beings will be an irritation or reminder of what the transhumanists once were."

Quayle also revealed this bombshell: The current economic crisis is actually being orchestrated as a tool to advance this destructive agenda. Sinister power brokers are "throwing the world into a global economic meltdown in order to bring about the New World Order..."

The unrest in the Middle East, ongoing "weather wars" [as seen recently with the attack on Beijing, which got six months worth of rain in one day], and the increasingly obvious police state in America are additional facets of this spiritual battle that encompasses political, social, and economic arenas.

Quayle is "not a prophet" (with a secret means of communication with a creator god), so he is reticent to predict how things will unfold. But he does have theories. For example, the much-discussed end of the world Mayan Calendar date of December 21st, 2012 might be a target date to "launch their world program."
