Vangisa received assurance that the teacher has achieved nirvana
One time the Buddha dwelt at the monastery near Alavi Aggalava.At that time, Nigrodhakappa Majesty, Majesty Vangisa guidance counselor, recently died there. Then, a fruit-thought comes to mind YM Vangisa (who live alone) in meditation: does teacher mentor has achieved nirvana or not. Then in the evening, YM Vangisa [with friends] facing the Buddha and respectfully ask this:1. We asked the Buddha who has perfect wisdom, who can dispel doubts in the world-the famous monk, who has the grandeur and peace of mind, who had died in Aggalava. (343)
2. O, Buddhism, Bhante was the one who gave the name Nigrodhakappa to him. Tirelessly, he traveled everywhere with respect to Bhante. He struggled to achieve liberation, sturdy in understanding the Dhamma. (344)3. O, the Buddha, the All-Seeing, we all want to know about the student. We are ready to listen. Our teacher Bhante is unequaled.(345)4. Hilangkanlah our doubts, please explain about this. O, the Buddha who have extraordinary wisdom, let him if he had reached nirvana. O, the Buddha of the All-Seeing, talk in our midst as the king of the gods, Indra with a thousand eyes. (346)5. Any complexity in the world, which causes the inner darkness, which is associated with ignorance, the cause of doubt, all this breaks down when people are facing off Tathagata. Indeed He has an eye supreme among all human beings. (347)6. If people like Bhante not banish lust like the wind dispels the cloud, the whole world will be covered by darkness, even the great man would not shine. (348)7. The wise man is the bearer of light. I believe that Bhante is a wise man. We came on Who Owns This view Light and Knowledge. We ask Bhante explained to us all here, where His Majesty Nigrodhakappa now? (349)8. O, the sublime, alunkanlah soon the beautiful voice of thy craning his neck like a swan, her voice steady and regular full well. We all will listen with rapt attention. (350)9. We sincerely appeal to the Most Pure, which has been completely defeated the birth and death, to expound the Dhamma, because this is not a mere gratification of lust carnal creature. Let the Tathagata act with wisdom. (351)10. Explanation of Who Owns Wisdom Flawless always acceptable. We are ready to receive it. O, glorious hermit, do not let us be in inner darkness. (352)11. Bhante has been fully know the teachings of saints. O, The Full of Energy, do not let us be in ignorance. Like a person suffering from heat in summer water miss, we miss your words. Pour out the words of thy wisdom. (353)12. If His Majesty Nigrodhakappa have undergone the holy life, whether it gives fruit? Did he attain Nibbana with the rest? How can he be liberated, that's what we want to hear. (354)13. The Buddha: He has decided against the material and spiritual desires in this world, which is a long stream that flows Mara. He has completely crossed all births and deaths. Said Has Enlightened, the leader of the five disciplines pertama.2 (355)14. You are the noblest among the great ascetic. Hear the words of thy I feel happy. My search was not in vain. The Buddha did not fool me. (356)15. Pupils Bhante indeed have acted as the Buddha said. O, The Enlightened One, His Majesty Nigrodhakappa have seen the source attachment, and must have crossed the natural death very difficult to cross.
