Low-Nicotine Tobacco Planted

Kebumen:Tobacco farmers in Kebumen are asked to plant low-nicotine tobacco. “Kebumen should develop a specialty during this,” Sutarno, the native Agriculture and Forestry workplace chief answerable of plantation, said yesterday.


The workplace controls a neighborhood with a profit sharing fund. The land is found in 5 villages with every receiving Rp43.5 million for one ha land. every space are often used to grow twenty,500 low nicotine tobacco plants.


Kebumen’s Indonesia Tobacco Farmer Association chairman Sukirnom, said that farmers accepted the government’s suggestion. “Our tobacco quality is not up to Temanggung,” he said. Farmers can make the most of the low-nicotine tobacco as a result of there's a marketplace for the merchandise.
