Law of Kamma (By : Bhikkhu Khemaviro)

Law of Kamma

Namo Tassa Bhagavato Arahato Sammāsambuddhassa
If we do bad deeds through speech, physical body, and mind, then the result is poor or bad consequences. Conversely, if the will, which underlies the act was "right" (good), then the good will of a good speech will appear (right), the correct physical behavior, and mind that is true, then the result would be happy, calm, and peaceful.

Law of karma is the law of nature, there are five natural laws, namely:
1. Bija Niyama
Bija Niyama are the natural laws relating to bijibijian. From this crop will be grown plants, complete with stem, leaf, flower, and fruit. But there are also plants that do not generate interest and also does not produce fruit.
2. Utu Niyama
Utu Niyama are the natural laws relating to Utu (temperature / weather). In this world there are areas that have winter snow (sleet). If the hot areas in the tropics, there is no snow, in the tropics, only the rainy season, winter, and the dry season. Utu Niyama also related to when the rainy season, when the dry season, and when the winter.
3. Citta Niyama
Citta Niyama is a natural law associated with the citta (mind). The mind is a situation that is always accepting and thinking about objects.
4. Kamma Niyama
Kamma Niyama are the natural laws relating to the kamma (action). There are three deeds, namely:a. Right actionb. The act is not truec. Neutral actNeutral act only done by the Arhat who has been free from lobha, sin, and moha.
5. Dhamma Niyama
Niyama Dhamma is the law of nature relating to the things unseen.Example: rain warm (hot) and cold to bathe bodhisatta Gotama when he was born in the world, as well as the emergence of a devastating earthquake and horrible when Buddha took the decision to enter Nirvana.
Natural laws are only rediscovered by the Buddha. Indeed there are times when the Dhamma forgotten by mankind. If there is no longer the practice of Dhamma, then the situation becomes chaotic, life becomes short-age, theft, murder, lies, slander rampant, people drinking intoxicating beverages to memory loss, irritability, then came the fights, murders, things become chaotic nouncertain.
The Buddha appeared in the world to rediscover the natural laws.We need to learn the laws of nature is that we should be happy.
In the book Dhammapada, the Buddha says: "Mind precedes all things, the mind is the leader, the mind is forming, when someone speak or act with evil thoughts, then the suffering will follow him like a wagon wheel follow the oxen that pulled her footsteps." (Dhammapada, 1)
Instead, the Buddha also said this: "Mind precedes all things, the mind is the leader, the mind is forming, when someone speaks or act with a good mind, then happiness will follow him, like a shadow that never leaves the object." ( Dhammapada, 2)
From both these poems can be concluded that: we better be happy than miserable. Happiness is like a long age, healthy, beautiful face / handsome, too abundant possessions, all derived from doing good deeds through thoughts, words, and deeds.
Therefore, after knowing this Dhamma, it is our duty as Buddhists are always doing good deeds such as: practicing the precepts, samadhi train, also did not forget to support the life of the monks. They are keen to learn and practice the Dhamma in order to gain wisdom. With this wisdom so that we erode the defilements can be free from suffering and live happy in this life as well.
Good deeds properly so that we obtain the fruits of happiness in this life such as health, long life, beautiful face, a face unsightly and property in abundance.
