Review: 'Rise of Apes' is unhappy, heavier than expected

LOS ANGELES  -- Science and nature collide in "Rise of the earth of the Apes."

James Franco plays a scientist out to seek out a cure for Alzheimer's as a result of his father has the disease. while not giving an excessive amount of away, Franco's character finishes up raising an ape named Caesar, who is also too sensible for this own sensible.

The real bother begins when a member of his human family is threatened, and also the ape gets violent. The altercation ends up in Caesar being forced to measure at an animal sanctuary, where love and kindness don't seem to be a part of his standard of living anymore.

The apes, lead by Caesar, take matters into their own hands, and that they mean business.

The computer-generated apes are the important stars of this movie. Caesar gets help from the movements of actor Andy Serkis - combined with state-of-the-art technology.

Franco's sensible, and thus is John Lithgow as his father. i do not assume Freida Pinto has enough to try and do here, however she adds a way of heat.

The movie is rated PG-13, however it's one in every of those films, based mostly on the topic matter, that i believe might very scare a 10-year-old.

As I took notes throughout the film, I found myself writing the word "sad" thrice, and that i threw in a very "tragic" to travel together with that.

It's abundant heavier than I expected - worry, anger, animal abuse, death. It's all thus unhappy, however collectively, it will assist you higher perceive why of these animal actions speak louder than words.
